A Human Washing Machine
And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. Matthew 1:21
Japan has introduced a human washing machine. You simply lie back and let the machine do the work. Thankfully, it doesn’t spin you like a clothes washer!
The article that I read about this machine included this sentence: “According to company spokeswoman Sachiko Maekura, the new machine not only cleans the body but also ‘washes the soul,’ using sensors to monitor the user’s heartbeat and vital signs throughout the process.”
As much as they’d like to, no person will ever invent a machine that can cleanse the human soul. It might wash away the grime on the outside, but only the blood of Jesus can wash away the grime on the inside.
That’s why He came. As Matthew 1:21 clearly states, “He shall save His people from their sins.” That little baby in Bethlehem grew and went from the cradle to the cross. He entered the tomb, but didn’t stay there!
Because of His finished work, we can be clean on the inside and the outside.
