Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever. Hebrews 13:8
A study released in 2024 stated that the pace of change has increased 183% over the past four years! 88% of executives surveyed expected an even faster rate of change in the coming years.
Of course, you and I don’t need an academic study to realize just how fast things are changing around us. The rate and pace of change almost gives us whiplash! It’s hard to keep up.
With all this change, our verse from Hebrews 13:8 is like a warm embrace.
Jesus never changes.
The Jesus you see walking across the pages of the Scripture is the same Jesus today. This truth cannot be honestly said about anyone else except God. You and I are constantly changing: physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually, financially, and probably in areas I haven’t even mentioned. But Jesus never changes because He is God.
Today, rest in His unchanging faithfulness, love, and mercy.
Dear Father in Heaven, Thank You for the solid anchor that we have in Your unchanging faithfulness. As our world swirls around us, help us to continually turn to You and find the strength and stability we need to persevere in these trying times. In Jesus’ Name, we pray, Amen.
